Dr. Musabelliu was born in Albania, where she completed her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Psychology at the University of Tirana. As part of the first generation of psychology graduates in the country, she later served as a lecturer in the Psychology Department and represented school psychologists internationally, helping bring global recognition to the field in Albania. She also contributed to The Handbook of International School Psychology (2007) and served on the Ethics Committee of the International School Psychology Association (ISPA).

After moving to Canada, Dr. Musabelliu earned her PhD in School and Clinical Child Psychology at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE), University of Toronto. She has worked in a variety of clinical and academic settings, including the Toronto Catholic District School Board, Surrey Place Centre, and OISE’s Counselling and Psychoeducational Clinic.

At the Albanian Community Mental Health Centre (ACMH), Dr. Musabelliu is the founder of the Child and Adolescent Stream, offering comprehensive psychological assessments, individual therapy, and parent consultations. She also supports young adults navigating life transitions, academic stress, or low motivation. Her work is grounded in a strength-based, evidence-based, and culturally sensitive approach that helps children and families build confidence and resilience.

Dr. Musabelliu provides services in both English and Albanian and contributes to ongoing research at ACMH, including the translation and validation of psychological assessments into Albanian.
