Dr. Arela Agako is the founder and director of the ACMH Clinic, created to offer evidence-based, culturally sensitive mental health support to the Albanian community, in Canada, and to serve as a welcoming space for education, advocacy, research, and community connection worldwide. The mission of ACMH is to break down stigma, build stronger community ties, and improve mental health outcomes through compassionate clinical care and broader engagement.

Dr. Agako holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from McMaster University and is registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. At ACMH, she works closely with individuals and couples navigating trauma, including PTSD, complex PTSD and intergenerational trauma, high-conflict relationships, borderline personality disorder, and difficulties with emotion regulation. She also provides care for anxiety, depression, insomnia, OCD, burnout, and relationship challenges, always focusing on evidence-based approaches that respect cultural identity.

In addition to ACMH, Dr. Agako is the co-founder of Repair, an app designed to help improve communication in relationships, and the founder of Trauma Care Psychology, a private practice specializing in trauma-related mental health support.
